About CFA

Located in the serene and lush green village of Chathiyara (in the district of Alappuzha), our academy is spread across an area of 2 acres. We provide children with the opportunity to progress into competitive football with a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship whilst also ensuring that they are having fun along with maintaining academic excellence.

Why CFA

Chathiyara Football Academy is the only AIFF affiliated club in the region. It is equipped with a full-sized ground and it has a professional training program run by AIFF licensed coaches and UEFA international licensed coaches. The academy has teams in both Junior and Senior categories, and also participates in player exchange programs.

Our mission is to encourage and inculcate an active and healthy lifestyle among young people to aid in their holistic development and to guide and support them in building a promising future in sports.

Quality and Professional Training

The quality and professionalism of training at the academy is widespread and has impressed many talents to join the academy even from faraway places. We are training players from the districts of Alleppey, Pathanamthitta and Kollam and has hosted players across the state.

AIFF and UEFA Licensed Coaches

CFA has hosted many renowned international coaches in our home ground. Our players have also received training by UEFA A licensed international coaches namely Mr. Marcel Van Dyke, Mr. Radek Rusin, Mr. Mikolaj Raczynski, Mrs. Vernace, Mr. Kendel and Mr. Frank Sebagella.

Flagship Project: Promoting Football for Girls in Rural Kerala

In the first phase of the project, 25 girls have been selected from nearby rural areas who will undergo a four year training program. This program was conceived under the mentorship of the Centre for Excellence in Sports Management (COESM), Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research, and is supported financially by Inner Wheel Madras Central.
